Thank you for voting Green in Bromley!

- Green vote shoots up in Euro election

On behalf of the Green party in London, and Jean Lambert MEP, in particular, we would like to thank the voters in Bromley for the way they turned out to vote for the Greens in the borough at the recent Euro elections.

Alone amongst the top five parties in the ballot, the number voting for the Green party actually went UP in Bromley, from 5.95% of votes cast in 2004 to 9.55% in 2009, and the 2009 Green party vote was 44% higher than the 2004 vote.

The Tory vote went down (by 9%), as did the Labour vote (by 46%), the LibDem vote (by 34%), and the UKIP vote (by 7.7%). Once again, thank you all very much.
